Avocado Hummus with Spinach
The green spinach and well-ripened avocado give this delicious hummus an intense green color.
And since this hummus includes mashed avocado, why not call it guacahummus?🥑 For any hummus and guacamole lover, this dip is delicious, especially when topped with wonderful za’atar.
Za’atar is a spice of Eastern Mediterranean origin and is widely used in Greece, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Morocco and Egypt. Za’atar originally meant ‘thyme’ in Arabic, but the blend incorporates various flavors (roasted sesame seeds, dried thyme, dried dill and sumac) in a pungent combination that is as delicious as it is versatile. Add za’atar to olive oil and you get a flavorful oil that’s just right for drizzling over hummus, guacamole and many other sauces and dips.
